UNIFY resources has a fantastic team of hardworking high school and college student volunteers from all over the United States. Get to know some of them here!

ALY MOOSA
Social Media Manager, Website Developer
Aly Moosa is a rising senior from Texas. Aly is extremely passionate in the fields of economics and marketing. Through these passions, he is currently Texas State DECA President and the Head Marketing Intern at Fiveable. He loves the mission of UNIFY resources and want to use his role here to help others in need!

PANISARA PURCELL
Social Media Manager, Immediate Tutor
Panisara is a current junior at Northwest Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC. She was born in Thailand and moved to the U.S. when she was only six years old. Being an immigrant herself, she is passionate about social justice and educational equality. At school, she is involved in track and field, peer tutoring, and other clubs that serve the underrepresented population of her community. In her free time, she enjoys scrolling through memes on Instagram and spending time with her friends and family.

ISAIDY MEDINA
Social Media Manager, Text Translator, One-on-One Translator, Immediate Tutor
Isaidy Medina is a high school junior from Brooklyn, NY! She's incredibly passionate about spreading financial and political education to low-income and minority communities, and is excited to be a part of UNIFY to help under-resourced students. Isaidy hopes to major in political science and history in the future and plans to take UNIFY's vision with her wherever she goes.

YARIN CAMACHO APARICIO
One-on-One Tutor, Immediate Tutor
Yarin is a current junior at Beckman High School in Irvine, California. Yarin is a part of Science Olympiad, the Latin American Association of Students, and plays the clarinet in his school's marching band. His favorite and strongest subject is math. Yarin also likes playing League of Legends and loves listening to music!

TINA SON
Website Developer, Social Media Manager
Tina is a junior attending Central Senior High in Saint Paul, Minnesota. At school, she is involved in badminton, robotics, and National Honor Society. She loves going out for walks,
watching dramas, playing video games, and taking pictures with her camera. Tina says that she is excited for this opportunity to work for UNIFY resources and can't wait to help out others!

GEORGE ADAE-MENSAH
One-on-One Tutor
George is a junior from Lawrenceville, Georgia, and is so excited to tutor and work with his future mentees! George loves music, singing, and plays the cello, violin, viola, and piano, in addition to occasionally composing some of his own pieces. George is a STEM person, but he doesn't mind dabbling in humanities—music, stem, and humanities—talk about a triple threat! George wants UNIFY users to know that if you ever need anything from advice, someone to talk to, and of course academic aid, to not hesitate to reach out to him!

TASFIA HASIN
One-on-One Tutor, Immediate Tutor
Tasfia is a first generation Bengali Muslim from Oklahoma. She will be serving as Senior Class President as well as president for Young Democrats at her high school. Tasfia has been selected as a 2020 QuestBridge scholar and has been through the process of various college prep programs. Tasfia joined UNIFY because she knows how hard it is for children of immigrants to grow up without having someone to talk to and wants to give others the support she wished she had.

RYAN PHI
One-on-One Tutor, Immediate Tutor
Ryan is a rising junior from Washington state attending Mariner High School and says that he's really looking forward to being both a One-on-One Tutor and an Immediate Tutor! Ryan plays the tenor saxophone in his school's band and is passionate about tutoring and helping others. Outside of school, he loves binge watching Netflix, hanging out with friends, and reading. To his future mentees, Ryan says: "I can't wait to start helping you and look forward to see how much progress we're going to make in the next few months! Hopefully, I'll see you soon!"

STACEY LOPEZ

Stacey is a current junior from NYC. Her favorite subject is chemistry and enjoys reading, dancing, and watching movies. When Stacey grows up, she wants to become an anesthesiologist!

TRACY CHAN
One-on-One Tutor, Website Translator, Recruiter
Tracy is a rising senior in Houston, Texas. She is happy to be a translator (Chinese), tutor, and recruiter for UNIFY. Tracy is an outgoing person and loves to interact with people. In her free time, she likes to travel, and learn new things. Along with traveling, Tracy also likes to be active and play tennis, and is really into fashion. She can help with math (up to Pre-Calculus) and translating.

TONY WANG
Website Developer, Newsletter Developer
Tony is a current high school junior from Saint Paul, MN attending Central High School. At school, he is heavily involved in robotics, tennis, and band. When he's away from school, he works on two businesses. He is passionate about graphic design and applying art and design to solve modern problems. In his free time, Tony loves listening to hip-hop, watching Netflix, and going on long bike rides with friends! As a first-generation low income Chinese-American, Tony wants to help under-resourced families, like his, navigate education and unemployment amidst the world health crisis.

TASHI GUPTA
Website Translator, Recruiter
Tashi is a high school junior from Houston, Texas. She spends her time rehearsing dance, hanging out with her friends, and painting. Tashi is an active member of many clubs at her school and hopes to pursue a business major in the future. Tashi loves helping her community and hopes to do so wherever she may be.

TIARA OJEDA
One-on-One Translator, Website Translator
Tiara Ojeda was born in Tijuana, Mexico, and moved to the United States when she was 12. She loves spending her free time painting and volunteering. Tiara is one of UNIFY's translators and is pleased to be able to help!

JANA LE
One-on-One Tutor, Recruiter
Meet Jana, a current high school freshman living in Washington State. She enjoys playing violin and has been playing since early middle school. Jana is a part of her school’s orchestra and cross country team. In the future, Jana hopes to pursue a career in medicine, something along the lines of psychiatry or neurology.

CHRISTY ZHUANG
One-on-One Tutor, Immediate Tutor
Christy is a high school freshman from a small town called Ballinger, Texas. She has a strong passion for helping others. Christy's favorite quote is “Leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders.”

JOHN FALAVOLITO
Website Developer, Recruiter
John Falavolito is a rising senior at Clear Falls High School in League City, Texas. In his free time, John enjoys fishing and working on his photography business. After high school, John hopes to study architecture at the University of Texas at Austin. He hopes to make an impact by serving as website developer and enlister to help UNIFY resources and make a difference in the lives of those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Luis is an 11th grader who lives in California. He is part of marching band, drum line, as well as tennis. Luis is passionate about helping others in need to help them succeed and his love for music and playing.

JOEY LIENG

Joey is a current sophomore from Washington State. A few of her interests/hobbies include writing, singing, and philosophy/psychology. Joey is very passionate about giving back to the land that raised her!

ERIC WANG
One-on-One Tutor, Immediate Tutor
Eric is a high school junior from Saint Paul, MN. At school, he loves studying science, particularly chemistry and biology, as well as math. Outside of school, Eric spends his time playing tennis, violin, as well as watching way too much Grey's Anatomy. Eric is also on his school's robotics team! As a first-generation low-income student, he is extremely passionate about helping people from the same background as himself. As a one-on-one tutor, he is excited to build close relationships with his students!

KHANH DOAN
Founder
Khanh is a rising senior from Mariner High School in Everett, Washington. An immigrant from Vietnam and first generation Vietnamese-American, she is passionate about social justice, minimizing the gap between marginalized and under-resourced communities and education, among many other relevant social issues! Khanh plans to study political science in college and to pursue a career in politics and government.

DANI CAMPUZANO
Immediate Tutor
Dani is from sunny Orange County, California. She is obsessed with learning languages (both linguistic and programming) and hopes to incorporate both into her future career. In her free time, Dani enjoys listening to music, swimming, cooking, and gaming with her friends.

JED QUIAOIT
Immediate Tutor, Text Translator
Jed is a rising senior from Vista, California. He is passionate with prompting equity in STEM education through tutoring and hosting lectures. Outside of UNIFY, he honors dedicated Key Club members as Division Recognition Coordinator and manages eChats - a podcast organization - as CEO. In his spare time, he practices TikTok dances, writes short stories, and falls into deep Wikipedia rabbit holes.

ANGELA BAMBO
One-on-One Tutor, Immediate Tutor, Text Translator, One-on-One Translator
Angela is from Ankeny, Iowa and says she is excited to be part of this team and meet new people! Coming from a town with little diversity, she is passionate about spreading inclusion and educating many about the different cultures around the world in order to bring us together. Despite her love and focus for STEM, Angela is interested in arts and literature that she is trying to learn how to paint and read more books while in quarantine. Angela is big on mental health and says she is here for anyone who needs someone to talk to!
