About our candidate, Khanh Doan

Khanh Doan is a first generation Vietnamese-American immigrant, who moved from Saigon, Vietnam, to the United States with her family—in hopes of pursuing the American Dream—when she was only four years old. Khanh grew up in a low-income household lacking resources and opportunities. Early on, she discovered her passion for leading; Khanh ran for ASB President when she was only in seventh grade and went on to become her middle school's President in eighth grade and eventually Freshman Class President at her high school, and continued to hold various other leadership positions within her community.
Today, Khanh has scaled her passion for leading and serving others beyond just the classroom. She has taken initiative to run for office in order to not only serve her school, but all of her community as well.
