Racial Justice

Khanh stands with the Black Lives Matter Movement and wants to promote anti-racism and enact measures against racial discrimination, disproportionate incarceration rates among black and Latino populations, environmental racism, and police brutality.

What she'll do:

1) Anti-racism

Khanh will advocate to include anti-racism within public school curriculums and more worldly diverse topics in the history classroom, so students worldly knowledge isn't limited to the US, and understands the problematic institutions the US was built on.

2) Restore the Voting Rights Act

Khanh supports and wants to restore the Voting Rights Act, in order to prevent the restriction of voting rights among incarcerated individuals and to combat voter suppression.

3) Environmental racism

Acknowledging that pollution and the climate crisis disproportionately impacts people of color, because such marginalized groups are more likely to live in hazardous areas and are more likely to be exposed to air pollution and toxins, Khanh will fight against discriminatory land use policies and fight for the Green New Deal, which will combat environmental racism and provide green jobs in low-income and marginalized areas.
